About The Bund: the back story

The Bund is Shanghai’s historic riverfront, a line of grand stone buildings facing the towers of Lujiazui across the Huangpu.

The buildings

Walk past the Customs House and the former HSBC building, between the Fairmont Peace Hotel and The Peninsula.

Eating and drinking

Ling Long, Yi Long Court, Canton Table and Sheng Yong Xing all hold one MICHELIN star; Da Vittorio and 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana hold two.

The Customs House and the former HSBC building stand side by side on the Bund.

Our advice: come at dusk, when the lights come on across the river.
