About Suzhou Creek and the Rockbund: the back story

Suzhou Creek joins the Huangpu at the northern end of the Bund, beside The Peninsula. The Rockbund area behind it holds the Rockbund Art Museum, and upstream, M50 fills a former textile mill with galleries.

The Rockbund

The Rockbund Art Museum is at 20 Huqiu Road, open Wednesday to Sunday.

Upstream to M50

Follow the creek west to M50 at 50 Moganshan Road; Narisawa (one MICHELIN star) is nearby at 1000 Trees.

M50 holds more than 140 artist studios and galleries.

Our advice: walk from the Waibaidu Bridge to the Rockbund, then taxi to M50.
